Spring pictures

We have had a fun Spring so far. Celebrating Easter, playing outside, and of course watching our "mama duck" (really a goose) bring her little family into the world. We are really enjoying Lilly right now. Her little personality is really starting to show and she can be really funny. She is talking more and more and has even said a couple of short sentences. My favorite sentence of hers is "I love you mama".. So darn cute!!!

Easter was celebrated with the Abbey's. Lilly had fun playing with cousin Kathleen and hunting for eggs.

(I love the look K is giving Lilly here.)

Lilly is really a daddy's girl. She loves to go outside with him to look at the birds and she loves cuddling with him..

We took a little trip over to the Forest Preserve to grill out with Linda and Mike. Lilly loved the little table and running all over the place.

I went to the Cubs Home Opener and of course had to dress Lilly for the occasion.

And lastly - our little Geese....

Austin Trip

We were able to take a family trip to Austin to visit Jay's sister and her family and of course Rudy's.. Jay had so much fun introducing Lilly to his favorite barbecue place. She loved the turkey and the breakfast tacos!

Payton and Cade's birthday party was lots of fun with cake, a pinata, and lots of friends. Jay's high school friend Tim even showed up with his adorable son Jackson.

Lilly loved playing at the park with her cousins. There was much arguing over who loved her more which was pretty cute!

One night we went to Steiner Ranch which is this very cool restaurant with an incredible view. They had an outdoor band and Lilly loved dancing to the music. The entire time we were there, she danced and flirted with the band. It looks like we have a drummer boyfriend in her future to look forward to.

Pig Tails

Lilly is now sporting a new hairdo - pigtails!

Lake Lawn Lodge

This weekend we took a mini vacation to Lake Lawn Lodge with our friends Mike and Linda. Lilly loved the pool, the squirrels that frequented our porches, and walking on the lake. Mom and Dad had a lot of fun just hanging out with great friends. Here are some pictures from our trip.
We had fun walking on the lake - with a couple of toddler spills of course :)

Lilly loves our friends Linda and Mike - she is really lucky to have them in her life!

Lilly spent a lot of time "talking" to the squirrels - she also learned to say "squirrel"
Above she is "loving" the squirrels by putting her face up to the window and saying "ooohhhh"

She was nervous at first to go swimming but after warming up - she had a ton of fun splashing and kicking her legs!

Lilly playing in February!

Lilly is very into her babies right now - In this picture, she is instructing me in the art of changing diapers. It's serious business!

Jay built a fort for Lilly and she loved it! So much fun!

We got Lilly a tent from IKEA - she loves it!
Jay calls it her Ice Shack !

Random pics from Dec/January

Trying to get a pic of Lilly and the Landry kids..

Sledding - as you can tell, Lilly was not too happy about her ugly snowpants..

Lilly loves washing her hands and now thanks to Uncle Doug and Aunt Erin - she has a great stool to stand on.

Fun at the Aquarium with cousin K..

January 2010

January has been a really fun month for us. Lilly seems to be growing like a weed and learning new things everyday. She has so many words now it is hard to count, but her favorites include; eat, Elmo, go, shoe, up, sit, fish, and book (and of course MaMa, DaDa, and DiDi). She knows a lot of body parts, animal sounds and has recently learned to do the hokie pokie. She continues to love to wash her hands and has developed a habit of climbing on everything. She is finally sleeping better and we hope that this new trend continues. Luckily she has been fairly healthy this month which has been a nice change. We have to have one more blood test done soon and then we should be discharged from the care of the Endocrinologist.

We have had fun this month going to the Aquarium and hanging out with our friends Mike and Linda a lot. Lilly is looking forward to a trip home to MN sometime soon, and in March we will be visiting the Dougan clan in Texas. Lilly doesn't sit still much these days, so Jay and are a little concerned about the flight but it should be a fun trip.
